About Erin Merrifield

Having grown up in Waldo County, Erin knows Maine offers much more than its picturesque surroundings; it’s an incredible place to live, work, and call home. A proud local, she serves buyers and sellers throughout Waldo County and beyond, she specializes in her hometown of Belfast and surrounding rural communities. As Designated Broker & Owner of REMAX Jaret & Cohn and a decade of real estate experience, Erin sees her role as a trusted adviser. She listens to what matters most to her clients, helps them understand their options and risk, and develops strategies around their individual goals. For sellers, Erin believes marketing a property requires more than placing it in the MLS. Every property is unique, and its marketing strategy should be too. Every listing, from undeveloped land to fine homes, receives professional photography & aerial drone photography. Customized marketing can include social media, targeted digital advertising, custom print materials, agent caravans, Haven Magazine, email campaigns, and enhanced exposure through Zillow and Realtor.com. For buyers, Erin combines local knowledge with a strategic approach to finding and evaluating property. She helps clients look beyond the surface, understand value and risk, navigate inspections and due diligence, and develop an offer and negotiation strategy that reflects both the property and their goals. Before real estate, Erin spent more than ten years teaching Marine Safety throughout Maine and New England, including Ocean Survival at Maine Maritime Academy and training NOAA fisheries observers. That experience shaped the calm communication, leadership, and risk assessment she brings to real estate today. Erin is a proud Belfast Rotarian, longtime supporter of local nonprofits, and former President of the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce Board. She lives in Belmont with her family and enjoys Maine’s trails, coastlines, and rivers.
